Savor is a custom sneaker project inspired by the whimsical world of Candyland. Starting with a pair of original Converse, I carefully deconstructed the shoes—using a heat gun and acetone to separate the soles from the fabric, and unstitching the upper to create a flat pattern. I then recreated the uppers using my own fabric, reassembling them with sewing and securing them back to the sole using a shoe last, glue, and vacuum seal.

To bring the Candyland theme to life, I hand-painted details with fabric paint and embroidered small candies and sprinkles along the sides for added texture and personality. To mimic the playful motion of the board game, I carved into the bottom of the soles to embed miniature wheels—making the shoes feel like they’re gliding across the board.
